Liposuction of Breast

Tumescent breast liposuction, when performed entirely by local (tumescent) anesthesia, can produce both a significant reduction in the breasts and a moderate but rewarding lift of the breast. The use of microcannulas allows for breast reduction with minimal postoperative pain and rapid postoperative recovery with virtually immediate return to normal activities. A woman's breast can be reduced to over 50 percent size, while her breasts are raised significantly. This elevation of the breast is the result of the reduction of the weight of the breasts, which allows the breasts to regain their natural elastic properties to contract and produce the elevation. The breasts do not change shape after liposuction, they just get smaller and somewhat higher. After liposuction, the shape of the breasts is but a smaller version of the previous shape.

Key points:

  • Quick recovery

  • Does not leave scars.

  • Reduction of between 20 and 50% of the volume.

  • Few postoperative risks and complications

What can i expect

Overly large breasts cause pain and suffering for many women. Some may come to see it as a physical disability and it is commonly associated with psychological problems. Athletic activity is significantly limited. Chronic changes in body posture occur due to the effort to compensate for the weight of excessively large breasts. This can cause chronic pain in the back, neck, and shoulders. Chronic pressure from the bra straps can make permanent shoulder marks. Large breasts can predispose women to yeast infections in areas where the skin sticks, such as between the breasts and under the breasts.
