Otoplasty
Otoplasty is a surgery that allows modifying the pinnae (ears) when they have birth or acquired changes.
Key points:
The duration of the procedure is around two hours. It can be performed under local anesthesia and sedation or under general anesthesia, both on an outpatient basis. The incisions are made in the posterior fold of the ear, so they are hidden and at the end of the healing process are practically imperceptible.
What can i expect
During the postoperative period, it is necessary to use a special compression garment for around two weeks to keep the ears in a proper position during the healing period. The patient can return to their daily activities in around three to five days.
